Introduction:
DNA contains four types of nitrogenous bases, each with a specific percentage. The content of the bases (especially, guanine and cytosine contents) affects the denaturation of DNA during polymerase chain reaction (PCR) cycles. They are also responsible for the increase in the melting temperature of the DNA.
