Introduction:
Postsynaptic cells have varied responses to the same chemical as the cells have different sub kinds of ACh receptors. Muscarinic receptors are categorized under the family of G-protein coupled receptor as their activities are greatly influenced by G-proteins. Here, the fusion of neurotransmitter can result in the opening of ligand gated channel to its corresponding receptor only by indirect means.
