Question
Chapter 7, Problem 9bCP
Summary Introduction
To review:
The following:
1. Location where stimulatory and inhibitory effects of muscarinic ACh (acetylcholine) receptor occur.
2. Cause of these effects.
Introduction:
The fusion or attachment of ACh to muscarinic receptors affects indirectly the permeability nature of potassium ion channels. It can henceforth result in hyperpolarization in some parts of the body due to opening of potassium channels and can cause depolarization in some body organs due to closure of potassium ion channels.
