Question
Chapter 14, Problem 32RA
Summary Introduction
To review:
The process of an increased volume of urine by virtue of immersion of body in water.
Introduction:
Reduction in blood volume due to high workout of the body or any other reasons stimulate the secretion of anti-diuretic hormone (ADH) from the pituitary gland. This, in turn, stimulates the kidneys for reabsorption of water from the filtrate and increase the blood volume. The aldosterone hormone from the adrenal gland stimulates the kidneys for water and salt reabsorption and hence, increases the blood volume.
