Question
Chapter 14, Problem 7aCP
Summary Introduction
To review:
The regulation of blood flow and vascular resistance.
Introduction:
Vascular resistance is the resistance force exerted on the flow of blood through the blood vessels. The vasoconstriction results in increased resistance and reduced blood flow while vasodilation leads to decreased resistance with an increase in blood flow. Both blood flow and vascular resistance are regulated by a number of factors.

Choose from the following:
(A) is sensitive to levels of sodium ions in the plasma
(B) is lined with endothelial cells known as 'granular cells' which release renin
(C) demonstrates smooth muscle cells in its tunica media which release a hormone known as 'renin'
(D) constricts in diameter in response to activation of sympathetic innervation
