Question
Chapter 14, Problem 31RA
Summary Introduction
To review:
The proposed mechanisms to explain the processes by which a diet that is high in salt could raise the blood pressure.
Introduction:
The stroke volume (amount of blood released during ventricle contraction) is directly proportional to the EDV (end diastolic volume) and also to the ventricle contraction strength. The stroke volume is inversely proportional to the peripheral resistance of the arteries. The blood volume is composed of blood plasma, formed elements, salts, and other nutrients that are required by the body.
