The interstitial fluid is formed by the blood plasma fluid that is leaked out in the intercellular space. The interstitial fluid serves a significant role in the interaction between the tissues and blood plasma content and it also regulates the blood volume by maintaining the fluid pressure inside and outside the cells or tissues.
