Cardiovascular system is constituted by the heart, blood vessels and blood. The heart has been assigned with the task of pumping blood through the vessels of the circulatory system. The blood has the role of providing the body with oxygen and nutrients. The heart lies in the middle compartment of the chest. A human heart has four chambers namely left atrium, left ventricle, right atrium and left ventricle.
