Introduction:
The complement system is also called as complement cascade. It is a part of the immune response. This system encourages the phagocytic cells and the antibodies to clear the microbes or infected cells from the body of the host. The classical and alternative pathways of the complement system are similar. At the end of the pathway, the membrane attack complex (MAC) is formed.
