Summary Introduction

To review:

The signals that activate the cytotoxic T (Thymic lymphocyte) cells.

Introduction:

The cytotoxic T cell (Tc), also called CD8+ (Cluster of differentiation) T-cell or killer T cells are a type of white blood cells that destroys cancer cells, virally infected cells or damaged cells. Most of the cytotoxic T-cells can recognize a specific antigen with the help of a receptor called T-cell receptor (TCRs). Cytotoxic T cells can form pores in the cell membrane for the entrance of chemicals that evoke apoptosis by leading to the killing of the cell.
