IgM is a pentameric immunoglobulin. They are connected by J-chain protein and disulfide bond. It is the first antibody produced in response to an attack or exposure to the pathogen. IgM is present in the B lymphocyte cells. Their main function is in the regulation and control of activation of B lymphocyte cells.
