Chapter 11, Problem 65TQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The elements of the membranethat have restrictedlateral motion in the fluid mosaic model.
Introduction:
The structure of plasma membrane is explained in the model called the fluid mosaic model. This model was proposed by SJ singer and GL Nicolson in 1972, According to this mode, llasma membrane consists of two lipid layers along with a small amount of carbohydrate and cholesterol molecules; the proteins are embedded in it and they can move freely.
