Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

When electric current flows through a wire, magnetic field is generated around the wire. The direction of the field is determined by the right hand rule. When placed in an external magnetic field, the wire experiences force in the direction which is determined by Flemings’ left-hand rule.

The figure below shows the Fleming left hand rule.

The two wires create magnetic field that influence the other current carrying wire.

For two wire with the thrust of motion towards each other or attracting each other, Flemings left hand rule shows that the current in the wires will be in the same direction.

Conclusion:

The current in the two wires will be in the same direction.
