Concept explainers
To Write: The names of three common ferromagnetic materials.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Materials which show long-range ordering at the atomic level and have permanent magnetic moment are known as ferromagnetic materials. The combination of these materials forms permanent magnets. The domains are aligned in one direction which gives rise to the magnetic property of the material.
Nickel, Cobalt and Iron are the three most common ferromagnetic materials. The domains of these materials spontaneously align in the presence of an external magnetic field.
Conclusion:
Nickel, Cobalt and Iron are the three most common ferromagnetic materials.
