The magnetic field by a wire, B=(2×107 Tm/A)Id

Current, I=10 A

Distance from the wire, d=0.1 m

Formula Used:

  B=(2×107 Tm/A)Id

Iis the current

d is the distance.

Calculations:

  B=(2×107 Tm/A)Id

The magnetic field by each wire at 0.1 m

Putting in values

  B=(2×107 Tm/A)(10 A)0.1 m

  B=2×105 T

The horizontal components of the magnetic fields by each wire is Bsinθ .

  sinθ=0.005 m0.10 m=0.05 m

  Bsinθ=(2×106 T)0.05 m=1×106 T

Using the right-hand rule, the thumb directs towards the flow of the current, then the curled fingers represent the direction of the magnetic field.

Therefore, using the right hand rule the magnetic field by both the wire is towards the left.

Both the wire contribute equally, hence

Net magnetic field is B=(2)(1×106 T)

  B=2×106 T
