Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
An electromagnet is a type of magnet which is made of wires wound up in a coil. When electricity is passed through the wire it produces a magnetic field.
When a magnetic material is placed at the core of the electromagnet, the strength of magnetic field increases manifolds. From the given types of rods, iron rod could be used to make an electromagnet because iron is a magnetic material.
Conclusion:
Iron rod could be used.
