Summary Introduction
The immune system in the human body is a complex functioning system which protects the body from various infections. There are primarily two types of immune system, namely innate and adaptive immune systems. Innate immunity is the defense that works in the body from birth. Adaptive immunity is acquired in the lifetime when exposed to infectious agents and other disease-causing organisms. Opsonization is one of the immune responses that identifies the target microbe and directs them to phagocytes.
