Using the names from Figure A-8 for the various alkyl substituents, as appropriate, the given molecule is to be named.
Concept introduction:
When naming a molecule, the first step is to identify and locate the longest carbon chain or largest carbon ring. The root name is to be written. The parent chain or parent ring is numbered such that the substituents attached get the lowest numbers. The names of the alkyl groups are to be written in an alphabetical order with their locant numbers.
