Chapter 9, Problem 32CONQ
Summary Introduction

To analyze:

The number of cytosine (C) nucleotides.

Introduction:

The Chargaff Rule which applies to deoxyribonucleic acids (DNA), states that in double-stranded DNA, the number of Adenine (A) and Thymine (T) nucleotides is equal. Similarly, the number of Guanine (G) and Cytosine (C) nucleotides is also equal. This is because, A nucleotides form a double bond with T nucleotides, while G nucleotides form a triple bond with C nucleotides.
