DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid has complementary double strand, which is bonded together with the help of hydrogen bonds between two nitrogen bases or between pyrimidine and purine. Pyrimidine consists of three nitrogen bases: cytosine, uracil, and thymine. On the other hand, purine consists two nitrogen bases: adenine and guanine.
