Introduction:
Ribosomes are the small units that function to synthesize the proteins. Ribosomes are made up of two subunits. They consist of ribosomal RNA (Ribonucleic acid) and ribosomal proteins. These ribosomes can be found floating within the cytoplasm of the cell or can be attached to the endoplasmic reticulum. The messenger RNA directs the synthesis of the protein. These proteins are used to perform various functions by the organism.
