Introduction: Recombinant deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) technology is the process of combining the DNA sequence of two or more organisms artificially to acquire the desired protein product. The process is brought about by inserting the gene of interest into a plasmid called recombinant plasmid. This recombinant plasmid is then introduced into a bacterium to produce a clone of cells with the gene of interest.
