Introduction: Recombinant DNA technology is a process of combining the DNA sequence of two or more organisms in an artificial manner to acquire the desired protein product. This is brought about by inserting the gene of interest into a plasmid. This is known as recombinant plasmid. This recombinant plasmid is then introduced into a bacterium to produce clone of cells having the gene of interest.
