Interpretation:

The type of copolymer formed from the monomers A and B in pattern –ABABABAB- has to be written.

Concept Introduction:

Copolymers:

Copolymers are polymers made up of more than one type of repeating units.

The types of copolymers are,

1. 1) Alternating copolymer:  Monomers are arranged in alternate way
2. 2) Block copolymer:  A sequence of one monomer is followed by the other monomer.
3. 3) Random copolymer:  Different monomers are linked in no particular order.
4. 4) Graft copolymer:  Long chains of one monomer are linked with short chains of the other monomer attached as side groups.
