Introduction:

DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) replication is completed in three stages, initiation, elongation, and termination. DNA methylation and binding of precise initiator protein to the origin sequence controls the initiation of replication. The binding of initiator proteins to the replication origin is responsible for triggering the events that unwind the double helix of DNA into two single strands. There are several groups of protein involved in the unwinding of DNA double helix.
