Introduction:
DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is the genetic material in most of the organisms whereas RNA (ribonucleic acid) serves as genetic material in certain types of viruses. DNA is a double helical structure while RNA is a single-stranded molecule. Both DNA and RNA are formed of polynucleotide chains that include nitrogen bases, a ribose sugar, and a phosphate group.
