Introduction:

Chromosomes are much larger in comparison to the plasmids. Plasmids are negatively supercoiled and are usually circular. An origin sequence for DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) replication is present in each plasmid. There are two modes for the replication of plasmid. One of them is the bidirectional replication while the other is rolling circle replication, which is unidirectional in nature.
