The possible effects on the body in the absence of epidermis.
Introduction:
Epidermis is a thin outer layer visible outside. They help in protecting the body from the harmful rays of the sun. Dermis present beneath the epidermis provides nutrients to the skin and helps in the disposal of waste.
Explanation of Solution
Epidermis is the outermost layer of skin that protects from the invading small pathogens and also forms our skin tone. It works as a shield to the body. In the absence of epidermis, people may start getting prone to infections as epidermis helps in protecting the skin from infectious or allergic diseases to an extent. Other than this epidermis also provides a sense of touch.
If epidermis is absent, people will catch infections easily.
