Explanation of Solution

Sounds produced by the animals to communicate with their groups are known as auditory communication. Auditory communication is faster than chemical communication. Languages in humans are also a type of auditory communication. The loudest land animal is howler monkeys, sounds produced by them can be heard for miles across the jungle. They produce sound to mark their territory. They also use audible communication to communicate information regarding mating, predators and entry of other animals in their territory. Thus, this auditory communication comes under communication behavior so, the behavior of producing sounds by howler monkeys is a communication behavior.

Conclusion

Howler monkeys use their calls to mark their territory and the sounds used for communication is a type of auditory communication that comes under communication behavior.
