T lymphocyte (thymic) is a type of lymphocyte that develops in the bone marrow from the stem cells and plays an important role in the cell-mediated immunity. T lymphocyte protects the body from diseases and helps to fight against cancer. These cells originate in the bone marrow but mature within the thymus.
