An abnormal division of cells that spread from one part of body to another and form a solid tumor is called cancer. Cancer mainly results from the uncontrolled or unchecked growth and proliferation of cells inside the body. The stem cells within the bone marrow undergo the process of differentiation by which they become specialized for various functions.
