Question
Chapter 25.7, Problem 28BYGO
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The large intestine measures about 5-feet long, which is named because of its large diameter. The large intestine accepts about 500 milliliters of food residue daily that are undigested. These residues are reduced to 150 milliliters of stool by the absorption of salts and water. The stool is eliminated by the process of defecation. Defecation reflexes are stimulated by the stretching of the rectum that accounts for the need to defecate and it is mostly felt after a mealtime.
