Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The liver is a reddish brown colored gland; it is an additional digestive organ located nearly inferior to the diaphragm. It fills most of the epigastric and right hypochondriac regions. It is the largest organ in the body, measuring about 1.4 kg (3 lb). It has a wide range of functions, but the secretion of bile is the only one function that contributes to the digestion process.
