Using a Fleming’s right-hand rule, the magnet's North Pole is in the outward direction.

Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

As per Fleming’s right hand rule, if one stretches the thumb, index and middle fingers of right hand so that they are perpendicular to each other, then the thumb points towards the direction of force experienced by the conductor placed in the magnetic field when the forefinger points towards direction of the magnetic field and middle finger points towards the direction of the flow of current in the conductor.

The magnetic filed lines are vertical and the current in the conductor is from right to left. The conductor is pulled outside the plane. Using the right hand thumb rule, the magnetic north pole is directedoutwards (from the plane).

Conclusion:

TheNorth Poleof the magnet is in the outwards (from the plane) direction using the Fleming’s right hand rule.
