The minimum quantity of voltage is generated when the conductor is moving parallel to the magnetic lines of force.

Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

Magnetic lines of force are curved lines. These are proportional to the magnetic field strength at a given point.

When the direction of the magnetic field and the direction of the moving charge are perpendicular to each other, the voltage produced is minimum at that point.

Induced emf (electromotive force) is proportional to the rate of change in magnetic flux. Now in case, a conductor is moved parallel to the magnetic flux, there is no effect on the flux, therefore, there is no induced emf.

Conclusion:

The minimum quantity of potential difference is produced when the conductor moves in a parallel direction to the magnetic lines of force.
