To provide: The difference between measures of central tendency and measures of variation.
The measure of central tendency in a data distribution indicates one data point which is considered the center of the data distribution. It represents the center of data distribution for example mean, median, and mode are the measures of central tendency.
The measures of variation in a data distribution say how the data points vary from the mean of the distribution and it measures the spread of the distribution across the mean. Some measures of variation are range, standard deviation, variance, and interquartile range.
The measure of central tendency is to represent the center of distribution while the measure of variation is to represent the spread or dispersion of the distribution across the mean.
