To identify: whether a calculator can always be considered as technology or not.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
An electronic calculator is an electronic device used to perform mathematical calculations quickly and easily. There are various types of calculators available in the market, from pocket-sized to modern scientific calculators. It is a huge asset for mathematicians.
By definition, anything which solves people’s problems with the application of science into practical use is technology. A calculator is a machine that allows people to do math operations more easily.
The calculator is a cheap device and is very common in today’s world. However, with the advancement of technology, more and more advanced devices are invented. Nowadays, cell phones namely smartphones have the application of computer inbuilt in the system which discards the use of separate calculators for calculations. Instead of using a calculator, people can do calculations using phones or computers. Owing to this reason, a calculator may not include under technology in the long run.
Conclusion:
Hence, a calculator will not always be considered as a technology.
