Introduction:

It is very important to prepare an optimized graph of the survey in order to represent the right type of chart for the right situation. For survey result of total 144 people, where 75 rides a bus, 45 drive cars, 15 carpool and 9 walks to work can be best represented by using a bar graph.

A bar graph is useful for comparing data or representing data that do not change continuously. Similar to the line graph, the independent variable which is the type of travel is plotted on the x -axis and the dependent variable that is the number of people is plotted on the y -axis. The figure below represents the bar graph of the given problem.
