Introduction:

Science is a vast area and it is broadly classified into: physical science, earth science and life science. Each category is studied individually and is widely researched.

The study of science which focuses on how and what things present in the universe are made of, the study of each particle’s behavior falls under the category of physical science. Physical science includes physics and chemistry. Earth science includes study of earth, geology, oceanography etc. Life science is the study of living things which includes botany, zoology etc.

The branch of science which is important to an environmental engineer is life science as they have to deal with nature and plant habitats and how the plants and animals are affected by the environment. Thus, environmental engineers need to focus on life science study.
