Chromosome size and structure are important and significant as a small deviation from the normal chromosomesize and structure might contribute to the ill-functioning of an organism. Chromosomal aberrations include deletions, duplication, inversions, and translocations. The various genetic disorders are caused by these deviations which can lead to cancer.
