To explain: The significance of dissociation curves of hemoglobin at two different pH values.
Introduction: Hemoglobin is the iron-protein present in the erythrocytes or red blood cells. Heme is the iron porphyrin and the globin is the globular protein. Hemoglobin carries the oxygen and delivers it to all tissues. It carries the oxygen from the lung tissues to all other tissues, and carries the carbon dioxide from the body tissues and delivers it to the lung tissues.
