Chapter 42, Problem 10TYK
Summary Introduction
Introduction: The circulatory system of humans is composed of the heart and blood vessels. The blood is the fluid tissue pumped by the muscular pump (heart) to circulate around the body through the blood vessels. The blood transports all the essential nutrients and gases to all the body tissues. Gaseous exchange in the the blood occurs at the lungs and the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood are transported to the tissues by the separate blood vessels. The oxygenated blood is carried through the arteries and the deoxygenated blood is carried through the veins.
