Introduction:
Mitosis is the part of the cell cycle where a single cell divides into two identical daughter cells. It is a type of equational division where number of chromosomes remain equal before and after division. If the parent cell is a diploid cell then the resultant daughter cell is diploid. The cell divides and identical copies are produced in mitosis.
