Chapter 28, Problem 9RQ
Summary Introduction

To review:

The procedure of RT-qPCR (reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction).

Introduction:

Polymerase chain reaction is a method that is used in molecular biology for the amplification of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) molecules. It requires a DNA template, DNA polymerase enzyme, and the Taq (derived from Thermus aquaticus) polymerase enzyme. RT-qPCR converts the RNA (ribonucleic acid) into a cDNA (complementary DNA) template with the use of reverse transcriptase enzyme.
