A culture medium is required in order to grow as well as culture different types of micoorganisms. This medium should be enriched with all the sources that are needed for the growth of bacteria. A medium can be liquid such as broth or a solid medium such as an agar medium. The culture media can be of two types namely, selective and differential media.
