Emerging infectious diseases are infections that have suddenly spread within a population and threaten to increase shortly. Emerging infections can be caused either by previously unknown strain or by any re-emerging strain. Factors involved in the emergence of new diseases include frequent traveling to distant locations, living in a more densely populated area, and coming in contact with wild animals.
