Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis are human pathogens that cause different diseases. N. gonorrhoeae causes gonorrhea which is a sexually transmitted disease. N. meningitidis causes meningitis that is the inflammation of meninges membrane that covers the brain and the spinal cord.
