Question
Chapter 2, Problem 9Q
To determine
An example where both the velocity and acceleration are negative.
Expert Solution & Answer
Answer to Problem 9Q
Solution:
A falling object
Explanation of Solution
The movement of an object in the upward direction is considered to be positive so in the opposite direction, the movement will be considered as negative. Similarly, if the ball is thrown in a downward direction from a height than the ball is said to have a negative velocity and negative acceleration in comparison to when the ball is thrown upward.
