The rock failing from a cliff will have a constant acceleration if air resistance is neglected because acceleration due to gravity is applied on the rock which is a constant value . An elevator moving from second floor to fifth floor will not have a constant acceleration as its acceleration increases each time as it starts moving and stops. A dish resting on a table will have zero acceleration or no acceleration.
