Then adding the capacitor it keeps the same amplitude but makes more DC. with the second op amp this makes it so the capacitor doesn't discharge (which is what keeps the voltage proper up I think?) With my logic here, the voltage feeding back into the first op amp negative terminal is the voltage input, minus a diode drop. So Vin > V- (voltage feeding back into the negative terminal).
